THE BEST WAY TO PREDICT YOUR FUTURE IS TO CREATE IT
Creative Opportunities Two Day Festival led by LCC, University of the Arts London

FUTURISING WEBSITE AND REGISTRATION NOW LIVE!

The very first festival of opportunity, networking and recruitment for creative graduates takes place on 29th-30th June this year.

Funded by HEFCE and led by LCC, part of University of the Arts London, Futurising is a one-stop shop of opportunities and information for all future and current creative graduates of all universities – whether the aim is to get a job, set up a business, get a studio, become freelance or go onto further study.

Futurising, set in the huge Nicholls & Clarke Building in Shoreditch, will play host to up to 100 stands of companies, organisations and associations eager to make contact with the cream of the UK’s creatives. Alongside the exhibition space no less than 72 talks will take place over the two days: these will include ‘How to..’ panel talks from leading makers and shakers in the creative world, practical advice talks ranging from business start ups to pop-up shops to freelance survival tips and big name keynote speakers. There will also be specially designed one-to-one sessions covering all the main sectors with experts offering cv, reel and portfolio advice, career coaching and IP advice. During each day Futurising will also play host to policy breakfasts for both education and business where key creative leaders will be brought together to discuss and debate the future of our creative industries.

Companies already confirmed to take part include Acme Studios, Association of Illustrators, Bafta, Blueprint, British Fashion Council, Channel 4, Cockpit Arts, Creative Review, D&AD, Design Council, Framestore, i-Design, M&C Saatchi, Mother, Onedotzero, Pentagram, RIBA, Spin, StarcomVest Media Group and the V&A.

Futurising expects to welcome 6-8,000 creative graduates through the doors during the two days, creative graduates that will be vital to the UK and its economic future. Live twitter and blog reporting from the event will ensure that the online audience for the festival will far exceed capacity. This is a vital new date for the creative calendar, as our postcard says, BOOK THE DATE, MARK THE PLACE: FUTURISING IS GO!
