depending on experience

Cheltenham Festivals are among the leading cultural events in the country running a portfolio of 4 annual festivals of Jazz, Science, Music and Literature.
You are a highly motivated, entrepreneurial and persuasive person who has a passion for achieving growth and expansion based on your own creative ideas. You will work closely with the Executive and Artistic Directors in developing the internationally renowned Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

You will have a track-record of raising substantial funds, or meeting sales targets, and be able to prioritise and manage a complex workload. You will demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain corporate or individual partnerships at a senior level as well as having the sensitivity to form a powerful partnership with the artistic teams. An ability to think strategically is of paramount importance.

A strong interest in a wide variety of music is essential.

Wayne McGregor | Random Dance currently have a Work Placement opportunity within the Marketing department. The placement will involve:
• Cataloguing of all company materials – including press articles (reviews and interviews), production programmes and brochures, and touring venue materials - from April 2008 (world premiere of Entity) to current.
• Cataloguing of all company master copies of video and audio - including filmed performances, rehearsals, images and music for productions.
• Entering the data on to Excel spreadsheets as well as physically storing the materials appropriately in the office.

1 day per week on Tuesday or Thursday for 8 weeks, to start w/c 3 May 2010. Working office hours are 10am-6pm with a 1 hour break for lunch.
Closing date for applications is 1 April 2010. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by Friday 16 April 2010 and informal interviews will be held on Tuesday 20 April 2010.

Wayne McGregor | Random Dance currently have a Work Placement opportunity within the Administration department. The placement will involve:
• Researching and booking travel and/or accommodation for the company’s upcoming national and international tour dates and assisting in producing detailed schedules for the dancers and technicians for each tour.
• Entering company activity into the Company Touring Document on a weekly basis (workshops, performances, company class etc).
• Producing Office petty cash and credit card spreadsheets at the end of each month and entering Office, Associate Director and Technical petty cash into the company accounting system.
• Undertaking general administrative tasks, including answering the phone, ordering stationary, collecting and distributing post and maintaining the company address book.

2 days per week on Wednesday and Friday for 10 weeks, to start w/c 5 April 2010. Working office hours are 10am-6pm with a 1 hour break for lunch.
