Culture calls for extension to ACE/BBC project
The arts Council/BBC digital project, Space, should be extended beyond its allotted finish at the end of October, culture secretary Jeremy Hunt has said. He believes it could be extended into a new digital arts channel.
The Space, launched in May with commissions for new work and BBC technology to be available on the web, smartphones and TV at a cost of £6m, is in a pilot period with no fiuding guaanteed beyond the autumn.
