British Art Fair goes to the Saatchi
Celebrating its 30th birthday this year, the 20/21 British Art Fair has changed ownership and will move to the Saatchi Gallery.
Created by Gaye Hutson and Angela Wynn it is the only art fair to specialise in modern British and post-war art and has been supported by major commercial galleries. It has been bought by brothers Robert and Johnny Sandelson, a gallery owner and a property developer.
The deal establishes the annual fair’s first permanent home, at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, having last been at the Mall Galleries.
“The move to the Saatchi Gallery brings the fair right to the doorstep of many of our collectors who live in the Chelsea area” said Jonathan Green of the Richard Green Gallery. “It's a smart initiative which will benefit both buyers and sellers, and we will certainly be there in September.”
The 2018 fair will be at the Saatchi from September 20 to 23.
