Ally Pally theatre reopens after 80 years
Alexandra Palace’s theatre and East Court reopened at the weekend after a £27m, three-year restoration project.
With the Ally Pally Christmas Carnival until December 16, the palace is hosting performances from local choirs, free workshops run by the palace’s creative learning team, a Christmas market curated by the Crouch End Market and Muswell Hill Creatives, funfair and street food. The events will run alongside ticketed attractions including a Santa’s Grotto, film screenings with Luna Cinema and the palace’s ice rink and pantomime on ice.
With the restoration of the Alexandra Palace Theatre - by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios - completed and open to the public again,, a new café and creative learning zone are to be constructed within the East Court. A new creative learning programme will be at the heart of the court, opening in the spring with a new cafe.
